HOURS: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

For your convenience, the County Clerk's office is open most noon hours. However, due to workload, we may be forced to close during some noon hours. Please call ahead to insure we will be open.

CLERK of the BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

County Board of Commission meetings are the first Tuesday, after the second Monday, of each month.

COUNTY CLERK - ELECTION COORDINATOR for all ELECTIONS

The first election in the County, since election consolidation began, will be the County-wide School election on May 3, 2005. ALL SCHOOL ELECTIONS WILL TAKE PLACE IN EACH OF THE TOWNSHIP HALLS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY, ON THAT DAY.

THE COUNTY CLERK IS ON THE FOLLOWING BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, and COURT:

Allocation Board, Board of Commissioners, Building Authority, Canvass Board, Concealed Weapons Board, Clerk of the 46th Circuit Court of Kalkaska County, Election Commission, Election Coordinating Committee, Jury Board, Plat Board, as well as others that pertain to the County Clerk's position.

GENEALOGY RESEARCH for KALKASKA COUNTY:

Records housed in the County Clerk's Office begin with the year 1871. Individuals wishing to conduct genealogical research may do so by mail or in person. If you are coming in person, please call to arrange a time, as our office is small and time frames have to be worked out.
