Jim Jesse, Chairman
Jim Jesse, a resident of Kalkaska County since 1991, currently Chairs the EDC. Jesse is also a member of the Kalkaska County Zoning Board of Appeals and has over 35 years experience in local and county government. He has previously served in Gladwin County as a City Commissioner and Road Commissioner.
Aaron Bowron, Vice Chairman
Aaron K. Bowron is an attorney licensed to practice law in Michigan and Arizona and a partner in the law firm of Zirnhelt & Bowron, P.L.C., with offices in Traverse City and Oakland County. He is a current member of the Kalkaska County Economic Development Corporation and has previously served on the Grand Traverse County Planning Commission, Charter Township of Flushing Planning Commission (which he chaired), and the Holly Township Zoning Board of Appeals. Bowron also serves on the Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Antrim (GTLA) Bar Association Board of Governors, is editor of the GTLA Newsletter and a member of the Traverse Area Historical Society Board of Directors. A 2007 graduate of the Leadership Grand Traverse program, Aaron has been featured on WTCM 580 AM's "Ask the Attorney" program and published in the Traverse City Business News and Flint Journal, among others, on topics relating to law, history, politics and opinion. He is a licensed private pilot, certified scuba diver, amateur radio operator, avid motorcyclist and former adjunct college instructor. He has volunteered for the United Way and Junior Achievement.
Linda Wayne, Treasurer
Linda Wayne has 25 and 15 years of experience in the banking industry and real estate business, respectively. She is an active member of the Kiwanis service organization of Kalkaska and is currently the Treasurer of the EDC. Linda also serves as Chair of the Kalkaska County EDC Loan Committee, which administers the EDC's $100,000.00 plus Revolving Loan Fund. Linda enjoys boating and travelling.
Allen Dimon, Secretary
Allen Dimon is Manager of McLean's Hardware of Kalkaska, where he has been employed for 35 years. Dimon has served for 12 years on the Kalkaska Township Board of Trustees and also is a member of the Kalkaska Hospital Board. He has been involved with many other community organizations throughout the years, and is a former Kalkaska Citizen of the Year.

Lon Husbands
Lon Husbands is the General Manager for Great Lakes Carbon Treatment Inc., an Eveready Company, which designs and builds industrial and environmental treatment systems and filtration units. Husbands is also owner and president of Kalkaska Float Equipment Inc., an environmental services corporation started in 1984, to which he brings over 32 years of experience in the environmental and oilfield business. Husbands is an active member of the community and has served on several boards, including the Downtown Development Authority, Kalkaska County Housing Authority, Kalkaska County Chamber of Commerce and the Kalkaska School Board. He is a current Village of Kalkaska Councilman, Chairs the Police & Personnel Committee and serves on the Finance and Streets Committees. Born in Detroit, but raised in Kalkaska County, Husbands has attended Kalkaska High School, Phoenix Institute of Technology and NMC. Married to Sandra Husbands for 36 years, with three daughters, Husbands enjoys landscaping and camping.
Frank Pflum
Frank Pflum is a nearly life-long resident of Kalkaska County. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Pflum has served on the Kalkaska County Economic Development Corporation for twenty-five years. He has also served as a County Commissioner and Coldsprings Township Supervisor, in addition to serving on the Board of Education in Mancelona and on the county Mental Health Board. Pflum is married and has three children.
