Visually impaired or physically handicapped patron services
- The Kalkaska County Library has a substantial collection of Large Print books. It is supplimented with a 30 volume collection that rotates quarterly from library to library, enabling us to have a fresh set of books available for heavy readers.
- Applications and assistance are available to those wishing to apply for the Federal Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped program (direct delivery of material via the U.S. Postal Service.)
- Extensive collection of books on audio cassettes and books on CD for listening pleasure.
- Door-to-door delivery for homebound patrons.
- Reader/scanner equipment that "reads aloud" mail, bills or other correspondence being scanned.
