Shelly has been on the Board of Appeals since 1998.  She also serves as the secretary on the Planning Commission.

Shelly worked for Forest Area Community Schools for 26 years in the transportation department and as a teacher aide at the K-2 level.  She was injured on the job in 2002, and forced into early retirement.
