Apply for a Variance
The applicant applies to the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) for either a use variance or a nonuse variance. Public hearings are required before approving a variance.

Variance Approval:The Zoning Board of Appeals grants a variance and the applicant may submit a site plan for review.
Return To Non Permitted Use Options

Variance Denial:The Zoning Board of Appeals denies a variance. The applicant drops the project or modifies their proposal and resubmits. Challenges for a nonuse variance denial may be taken to a Circuit Court. A use variance denial cannot be taken to court unless a rezoning is also denied.
