Memorial Day

                                                memorial day

                                                      REMEMBER      ~          HONOR

This year will be different from past Memorial Day observances.    Our community cannot hold its usual
ceremonies to honor and pay tribute to our deceased Veterans.
The Honor Guard from Kalkaska American Legion Post 480 and VFW Post 8684 will be lowering Flags to half-staff and will be conducting a brief wreath laying ceremony.   The ceremony will include a moment of silence,  a rifle volley,  and will conclude with the playing of Taps.
In keeping with CDC guidelines to limit large gatherings, the Ceremony WILL NOT be open to the public.
