Assistant Cook

This position is a full-time, non-union position.

The Assistant Cook is responsible to assist the Dietary Manager in the kitchen preparing meals for the Congregate Meal Sites and Home Delivered Meal clients. This position requires working knowledge of commercial kitchen functions and meal preparations. The Assistant Cook assists other kitchen staff in production of menu items, other reporting and inventory requirements as necessary, serving meals to seniors, kitchen cleaning, and all other duties as directed by the Director of the COA. Atleast one-year experience working in a kitchen preferred.

Wages in accordance with current wage scale.

In Home Service - Full and Part Time positions open

If you are someone who loves working with the senior population, is an individual who can organize your own time and paperwork, can work independently in a variety of conditions, this is the job for you!

In Home Service Workers (IHS) provide light housekeeping, respite or personal care based on the client’s care plan in the client’s home. Light housekeeping is defined as the inside living area and consists primarily of vacuuming, mopping floors, sweeping floors, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, changing bedding and doing laundry. Sometimes, IHS workers provide respite care including: meal prep, snacks, companionship, exercise/activities, socialization, or bathroom assistance. In some circumstances IHS workers could be required to provide personal care such as: bath or shower assist, hair care, oral care, dressing and grooming assistance.

In Home Service Workers set their own schedule with their individual clients which allows flexibility for their personal life and pursuits. Schedule would be Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, no nights, weekends or holidays.

Full and Part time positions available. Flexibility in scheduling, paid holiday, sick and vacation time, medical, vision and dental benefits for full time positions. Additional per hour for some agency clients with mileage paid and travel time between clients. Must be 18 years of age and able to pass an initial drug screening (which includes screening for marijuana) and a criminal background check. These are required by both State and Federal law for working with vulnerable populations (elderly adults).
