Researching at the Kalkaska County Clerk's Office
The following guidelines are provided for conducting research at the Kalkaska County Clerk's Office:
1. Researchers will use the area designated by the County Clerk's Office, with hours from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
If staff is assigned to other duties you may be asked to make and appointment.
2. Due to limited space, a maximum number of two people will be allowed into the Genealogy area.
3. No children will be allowed into the Genealogy area.
4. Researchers are PROHIBITED from using INK PENS OR OTHER WRITING INSTRUMENTS when viewing
records.
5. Researchers are PROHIBITED from EATING, DRINKING OR SMOKING in the Genealogy area, or when
viewing records.
6. Records and indexes must be handled with care.
7. Records and Libers will not be leaned upon, marked, altered, folded, or otherwise handled in any way likely to
cause damage to the record or index.
8. Copy machines, cameras, scanners, or tracing over vital records is PROHIBITED.
